Top 5 SKIN CARE STEPS THAT YOU SHOULD NOT SKIP.

With so many new skin care products launching, it can be difficult to determine which steps are essential in your routine. This task is even more difficult for beginners. However, we can make it easier for you.

If you're new to skincare and have decided to get serious about it this year, get ready to learn something incredibly valuable. We're here to clear up the confusion and give you five essential skincare steps that every beginner should start with and every skincare enthusiast should follow.

From cleansing to SPF, here are five must-have skincare steps you should never skip in your skincare routine.

01. Cleaning

02. SPF

03. Moisturizing

04. Toning

05. Exfoliating

1. Cleaning

It is important to note that washing your face with soap and water every morning may not be enough for healthy skin care. Instead, start by using a facial cleanser that suits your skin type. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, a cleanser that removes oil, dirt, and impurities is recommended. If you have dry skin, opt for a moisturizing face wash, while those with sensitive skin should choose a gentle face wash that does not irritate.

2. SPF (Sun Protection Factor).

From premature aging to dark spots and tanning, radical damage is the leading cause of countless skin problems. The application of a broad-spectrum sunscreen thus becomes one of the most important skincare basics.

Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV rays that can cause premature signs of aging, sunburn, and pigmentation. It also helps protect the skin from something as serious as skin cancer. After applying moisturizer, apply a small amount of SPF 30 or higher to your face and neck. Do this every morning and reapply every three to four hours to protect your skin from sun damage.

3. Moisturizing.

Your skin loses its moisture when you cleanse and exfoliate your face. Therefore, it is necessary to moisturize the face after cleansing. Whether your skin is dry or oily, sensitive or normal, moisturizing is an important part of a skincare routine that you shouldn't skip.

Choose a moisturizer that works for your skin type, for example, a rich, hydrating one for dry skin; a light, non-comedogenic cream for oily and acne-prone skin, and a soothing one for sensitive skin. Moisturize your skin twice a day without fail.

4. Toning.

Even after cleansing, dirt, sweat, and residue from oil-based products can remain on the skin. Additionally, it cleans and exfoliates open pores that can invite bacteria and cause acne.

The toner contains active ingredients that deeply cleanse the skin, eliminate bacteria, and help balance the skin's pH levels. Therefore, toning is a must after cleansing, especially for oily and acne-prone skin.

After cleansing your face, take some toner on a cotton ball and wipe it all over your face. Use it twice a day.

5. Exfoliating.

To achieve smooth, flawless, and healthy skin, exfoliation is an essential step in skincare. By removing excess oil, dead skin cells, deep-seated oil, and dirt, you achieve a brighter, more glowing complexion.

Using a gentle scrub on your face at least twice a week can effectively remove impurities such as dirt, oil, and sweat. If you have oily skin, it is recommended to exfoliate three times a week to keep your skin clean and clear.
