Do you know how old Google is?

Google was founded on September 4, 1998, by American computer scientists Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were doctoral students at Stanford University in California.

Google has made human life very easy nowadays, everything from cooking recipes to flying a rocket can be guided by Google and any work can be done in minutes but it was not always like that but Google has been around for 25 years. First of all, Google is celebrating its 25th anniversary of success in a big way.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin started Google as a university research project from a garage in suburban California 25 years ago in 1998 and today it has offices and data centers in more than 200 cities on 6 continents.

Although Google was founded in 1998 on September 4, Google has celebrated its birthday on September 27 since 2002. The company has added the number 25 to its doodle to commemorate its silver anniversary, which can be seen around the world.

Google's initial goal was to provide a search engine for ordinary users to find content on any topic on the Internet. This is why Google gained popularity and remains the most used search engine in the world today.

Over time, Google has changed a lot and today offers many different services in addition to the search engine. These include Google Mail, video sharing, social networks and maps, and many other services.

Google's headquarters, Googolplex, is in Mountain View, California. It is the largest Internet marketplace and sells computer software worth over $209 billion.

Google has expanded beyond internet services and consumer electronics to include ventures such as quantum computing (Sycamore), autonomous vehicles (Waymo, formerly Google Self-Driving Car Project), smart cities (Sidewalk Labs), and transformer models (Google Brain).

Google and YouTube are the world's most visited websites, followed by Facebook, and a photo storage and cloud operating system provider for web and mobile. They are also among the top browsers, machine learning frameworks, and providers of artificial intelligence virtual assistants when measured by market share. Forbes ranks Google as the second most valuable brand, while Interbrand ranks it fourth. However, the company has faced criticism over issues such as privacy, tax evasion, censorship, search neutrality, antitrust, and abuse of its monopoly position.

Revenue generated with advertising.

Did you know that Google makes most of its money from advertising? They earn revenue from app sales, in-app purchases, digital content on Google and YouTube, Android, and licensing fees and services, including those from Google Cloud. In 2017, 46% of its earnings came from clicks, which amounted to a whopping $109.652 million. Google uses three main methods to do this: Ad Mob, AdSense (such as AdSense for content and AdSense for search), and DoubleClick Ad Exchange.

Google has also developed algorithms and acquired technology, such as DoubleClick, to better understand users' interests and target ads based on their search history and context. They launched “AdSense for mobile” in 2007, which took advantage of the growing mobile advertising market.

Does Google know when I was born?

You may be surprised by how much Google knows about you from what you tell it or reveal through your web searches, browsing habits, and the devices that you use to connect to the Internet. Information, stored as cookies by your browser is used to create a profile that can include your likely age, sex, and lifestyle.

Why does Google think I'm under 18?

I don't understand why Google requires verification that my age is under 18. My date of birth may have been entered incorrectly, making it appear that I am not old enough to have a legal account. In this case, Google may offer the option to monitor the account if it belongs to a child.

What is how Google perceives me?

Google creates detailed profiles of users by analyzing their search and browsing history on Google-owned sites like YouTube. This information is then used to generate personalized advertising, targeting users based on their demographics.
